Common Questions

What exactly is allulose, and is it safe?

Allulose is a rare natural sugar found in small amounts in figs and raisins. It's absorbed but not metabolised by the body, so it contributes almost no calories and doesn't raise blood sugar. It's FSSAI-approved for use in India.

How is this different from your original Monk Fruit Sweetener?

Our original Monk Fruit Sweetener (400g) is blended with erythritol and remains our everyday, most economical option. This one uses allulose instead — a premium, baking-grade formula for anyone who wants sugar-like caramelizing and browning in their cooking.

Can I use it 1:1 in place of sugar for baking?

Yes. Measure it teaspoon-for-teaspoon or cup-for-cup in place of sugar. It browns in the oven and on the stovetop the same way sugar does, so no recipe adjustments are needed.

Is it suitable for diabetics and keto diets?

Yes. It has zero glycemic index and zero net carbs impact, making it suitable for diabetic and low-carb/keto diets. As always, check with your doctor if you're managing a medical condition.

Does it cause any digestive discomfort?

Allulose is generally well tolerated. As with any sweetener, very large quantities consumed at once can cause mild digestive discomfort in some people — stick to normal serving sizes (around 1 tbsp) and it shouldn't be an issue.

How should I store it, and what's the shelf life?

Store in a cool, dry place in the resealable pouch. Best before 12 months from the date of packaging.
